    The Clayville Library is now conducting its annual Christmas Cookie Sale.

    Cookies are on sale for $4.50 per dozen, if you buy 4 dozen, you get the 5th dozen free ($18 total).  Each dozen is prettily displayed in a clear plastic bakery box and includes 6 hand decorated sugar cookies, 2 chocolate crinkles, 2 brownie cups and 2 snicker doodles.  Need cookies for a holiday event?  We also sell 5 dozen cookies on a Holiday Party Tray, including Holiday candy for $22.50 per tray.  Pre-sold orders only, due by Thursday, December 11th.  Checks accepted payable to Clayville Library Association.  Cookies can be picked up at the Library in Clayville on Monday,12/15 or I will deliver to you.  Email Julie Steele - julie@gustafsoncpas.com for an order slip today.

    Join Tours By Design for a one-day trip to the Health & Wellness Weekend at The Edge Hotel in Lyons Falls.  Treat yourself to a day out for your body, spirit and mind.  The program includes psychics, holistic and retail vendors.  Free presentations, goody bag for everyone, door prizes. Vendors include Uncorked Canvas, Thousand Island Winery, Dove Choc, It Works, 1882 Country Barn, Reiki, Thermal Imaging, Jewelry and Purse vendors, Essential Oils, Whispering Thunder Crafts, Massage, Nails, and much more.

    Motorcoach departs from Rome (Freedom Plaza, next to the former Staples store on Erie Blvd) at 9am and Utica (Radisson Hotel) at 9:30am.  A pickup will be added in the Barneveld/Mapledale area if needed.  You will be on your own from approximately 11am until 3pm to enjoy the Health and Wellness program and/or stop in at Boondocks Restaurant next door for lunch on your own or a fun beverage!  The choice is yours.  This day is all about YOU!  And hey, don't you deserve that for a change?

    Return to Utica around 5pm and Rome at 5:30pm.

    The cost is just $39.00 per person.  Full payment is required within two weeks of making the reservation, and must be paid in full prior to departure.

    Here is a FREE opportunity for you to promote your business.  Tours By Design is offering a one-day bus trip soon, on Sunday November 9.  This is called Girls Day Out and its aimed specifically at women.  Passengers will attend a Health & Wellness program at The Edge Hotel in Lyons Falls.

    As an added value, Tours By Design is preparing goody bags for each of our passengers. 

    Here’s where your opportunity comes in.  If you would like to include an informational flyer about your business I will be happy to do that.  Promotional materials must be able to fit in a small gift bag and be aimed directly at women.

    I would need 40 copies of whatever you have, at my office next week.  (I will be happy to return any leftovers following the trip).  You can mail information to Tours By Design, PO Box 29, Hinckley NY 13352.  Unfortunately with my upcoming schedule I likely will not be able to pick up items from you.

    Also, if you would like to donate a gift to be used for a door prize, let me know and your company would get a little plug for that from our tour escort on the bus.

    There will be a Grand Opening of the new business called Baby’s Debut.  It will be located at 8540 Seneca Turnpike in New Hartford, next to Ponderosa. The owner of Baby’s Debut is Shannon Nelson, a resident of this area and is a professional trained in this field. 

    The Grand Opening will be on November 19, 2013  at 10:30am  with Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney there to cut the ribbon.  There will also be a drawing for a free 3D/4D  Ultrasound.

     

     Baby’s Debut is the first full service studio of its kind in the Mohawk Valley.  Expectant parents will have the opportunity to view their baby before birth in 3D and 4D with photos, DVDs, and CDs available to take home.

    DEB CABRAL TEAMS UP WITH INDUSTRY EXPERTS 

    TO OFFER A PHOTO DECLUTTERING CLASS AT MVCC

    Deborah J. Cabral, owner of The DeClutter Coach and DC Efficiency Consulting and host of the hit TV show Organization Motivation!, is teaming up with industry experts to offer a class at Mohawk Valley Community College called “DeClutter Your Photos and Family Memories”. 

    Cathi Nelson, founder of the Association of Personal Photo Organizers (APPO) in Connecticut and Julie Ann Morris, founder of FotoBridge in New Jersey, will be joining Deb to help class participants sort through their family photos, super 8s, slides, VHS tapes and more to get them organized, get creative and get them ordered in digital format so they can preserve their memories forever. Participants should bring all photos, etc. to the workshop – they will be able to place orders that evening.

    The class is July 25, 2013 from 6:00-8:00pm at MVCC, IT Building, Room IT225. Cost is $20 per participant. There will be great door prizes.

    Woo-Hoo!  I just received my notice from The New York State Department of Economic Development informing me that I have bee granted status as a Women Business Enterprise (WBE).  The on-line process was relatively painless.  I submitted my info on Feb 8, had an interview on Apr 23, and my application was approved on Apr 30!
